A school district success affects the entire community - not just families.

Property values, property taxes, desirability is all affected by a community's schools and their success. 

The Pacifica School District Board of Trustees has repeatedly failed the Pacifica Community and Pacifica students. We are seeking recall due to many factors: 

*Lack of strong leadership: Instead of making hard decisions, this school board waits until it is in crisis mode, leading to disruption and waste. 

*Lack of transparency: It is our school boards job to keep the public informed. Our school board prefers to stay quiet, leaving both families AND the community in the dark. 

*Lack of engagement: The board does not ensure that all taxpayers are informed about big decisions with bond spending that is paid for on property taxes. Siting cost, they neglected to post any information on free channels such as social media, print outs on their office door, Coastside News etc...

*Wasteful spending:  internal emails show that the school district moved forward on a $5 Million+ dollar construction project while knowing they would be closing down the property. This money is still being paid for by taxpayers as a bond on property taxes and the school is vacant. 

We need school board governing trustees that are strong leaders who value integrity, transparency and accountability. Communities expect their board to be engaged, informed, and take action. It's time to make positive change by making room for a board that will.
